With the 4th Industrial revolution came new ways to access information, reports, visions and to deliver or promote one’s brand and messages across to an identified target audience. The IE Broadcasting/Film and Multi-Media Hub focuses on a sustainable way to remain relevant within this industry by fulfilling the requirements in all these aspects. We capacitate the beneficiaries by providing them with the skills transfer and mentorship necessary for them to become a self-brand, whilst remaining true to themselves by doing what they love best, whilst getting paid to do it and whilst having the time of their lives. The mentors of the IE Broadcasting/Film and Multi-Media Hub are business owners who operate in this industry, and they come with a magnitude of experience both creatively and technically spanning decades. This Hub provides digital transformation strategies to create a central space for Work Integrated Learning Experiences in the Broadcasting/Film and Multi-Media Industry.

Capacity Building and Workplace Experience for the beneficiary includes:

  • Relevant capacity building and skills transfer within the broadcasting and media industry.

  • Access to the use of equipment and tech that they will be trained up on how to use.

  • Provided with guidelines on how to maintain the equipment and record asset registers for equipment out in the field and in storage.

  • Live and film production, script writing, stage design and layout, voice over preparation.

  • Theatre productions, animation creation, corporate videos, documentaries.

  • Graphic design and post-production (vfx, audio mixing and mastering, sound design, compositing, motion graphics, colour management, qc and delivery, multi-cam editing and online editing).

  • Bespoke website development, digital media management and cloud solutions.

  • How to raise sponsorship and engage with clients and community members.

  • How to package advertising opportunities.

  • How to sell advertising packages.

  • Project management, which incorporates engaging with all the different departments linked to the Broadcasting/Film and Multi-Media Industry (Legal, Finance, Producers, Directors, Line Producers, Hair and Make-up, Logistics, Distributors – in short – the Practitioners that are involved in getting productions onto the traditional and ‘new age’ growing platforms).

  • The beneficiaries will have an opportunity to work with local artists and learn how to provide technical support where required.
