Carpentry involves the construction, building, installing, and repairing of wooden structures. However, carpentry goes beyond just that. It is a skilled trade and a craft in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping, and installation of building materials during the construction of buildings, cabinetry, furniture making, ships, timber bridges, concrete formwork, etc.
The mentors of the IE Carpentry Hub have over 7 years of experience in this industry. They currently provide high quality craftsmanship and create a culture of long-term relationships with clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism, honesty and fairness. They achieve customer satisfaction by understanding a client’s needs and producing products as per clients’ specifications.

How to successfully plan, develop, design, and measure material for any furniture being manufactured on behalf of a client (income generation activities) which can include items like kitchen and bedroom cabinets, manufacturing and fitting, custom-made furniture, and spray works.
How to engage with clients and with community members.
How to work-out costings of products and material in order to meet a client’s expectations.
How to process quotations
How to sell products that are manufactured.
How to implement the multiplier effect within their community. All of these items positively impact the rest of the community and create income-generating activity.
